Or basically shipping would become cheaper/free for the customers the more items/bigger items they buy and you would only have to shoulder the full cost of shipping for your biggest orders?

#this is not about a girl this is about a COMPUTER VIRUS#specifically a nematode#which is a virus that attempts to do good and remove another virus#Welchia is an example of a nematode which was potentially more damaging than the virus it was trying to protect users against#namely that it was very widespread and infected BOTH the ACTUAL US NAVY and the ACTUAL US STATE DEPARTMENT#causing significant delays for both government entities#but it did uninstall the blaster virus and patch the vulnerability blaster exploited!#anyway#Welchia won’t infect you unless you have like. the worst luck imaginable. idk if it’s even still considered active since it’s been so long#even at the time Blaster and Welchia were active; most systems which were even infectable were using OS that were out of date#or went unpatched. simply because attempting to update them could break the programs that the computers were primarily using#for example: my local dentist office has an X-RAY program that clearly wasn’t designed for Windows 11#the most recent OS they use to run it is windows 7#even now plenty of restaurants use special embedded formats of windows XP for their point of sale systems even though they’re out of date#because updating them would be hellish and would put the point of sale out of commission for a while#government systems which have specialized programs which are the sole thing the computers are used for would have no incentive to update#because they have to run 24/7/365 and any delay or outage (say by an update to a new OS) could put them seriously behind#any system which cannot pause long enough to be updated or would potentially seriously lose usefulness if it was updated is extra vulnerable#so like. your Windows 11 computer is fine. especially since Welchia has an auto-kill switch when the date changes to 2004#but at the time it was destructive simply because installing the security patches and interrupting programs/restarting to do so was bad#for computers which needed to never stop working#namely: the things that society quickly crumbles without#luckily Welchia didn’t disrupt the way Wannacry did

I'm trying to find out if there is a better option for my online shop but man I'm not having much luck.
Etsy is just scummy and sucks. Plus the fees are way higher than I would like. The pros is that they have the search feature. They also don't have a built in way to do commissions.
Shopify is fucking expensive. 30 dollars a month if you pay for a full year at once, a 2.9% credit card processing fee, and you have to buy shipping labels through them. Also no way to do commissions. They do have SEO stuff. I would also be able to use their point of sale system for in person shows and streamline my inventory process.
Ko-fi has the option to pay $5 a month to get rid of fees, I can list free stuff, give people the option to tip on a purchase, and set up commissions through it. The downsides are that I have to market myself (bad at that) and use a clunky system for tracking inventory between online sales and in person sales.
I think I'm just going to stick with ko-fi because it seems like the best solution, even if it's a bit clunky for me to track sales between craft shows and online.
My ideal situation would be Zettle allowing me to open an online shop. It would be less work and the credit card processing fees are cheaper.
I hate running a business.

ok i can talk abt work now. i got hired to assist the main person who runs inventory and communicates with the vendors, orders plants and products etc etc. its been hard and mostly office work but insanely rewarding.
#logbook#they have me sitting at a desk ik they had to pull from someones ass in the corner of the main room next to her#this first week i went thru and counted every perennial they have on property and then went into the system and cycle counted it properly.#come mon i go back thru sales and if a plant want sold in 22 then i archive it. . .going to be so much work lol#i miss working outside with every fiber of my being but im also starting from the bottom with this job. . .im not at the top of pack here.#and ive been enjoying this aspect of the plant world so im honestly satisfied for right now. and i love the ppl i work with in the office.#we had a staff meeting yesterday and i texted c after going 'man im so relieved to know they still have workplace problems lol'#cause its really a priveledge to work in a garden center like this. . .imo.#anyways im full time<3 and ive been told i can come in earlier then i have been come march.#plus i get an employee discount lol. . .going to be so bad with the houseplants. theres a fern i really want if its still there mon.#im apparently doing all the work faster than anyone expected. .i thought i was going slow lmao#also she let me into the system on my first day and she told me she never does that. . .i was like 🥺#also i texted j this week and she said that the b+tes ppl go into l+wes and get lumber and said i was a hard worker and good!!#i was like ???? hello??? bc at that point id only worked 2 days. . and i still dont know who it was either.#ive been having fun tho. this week i'll take pics of the plants that are actually flowering. . .and some shrub closeups.#also checked in my first delivery on wed i think. it was fine. ik product and can count and i care so its not like its hard. .#going to be doing that all spring. . .whew.

There was a time $30 for a new game was considered expensive.
I think I might be a lil bit to young to remember that because by the time I started taking note of price tags most games for the 3DS were 40 bucks a pop but I have seen enough people saying they remember when games were within the price range of a kids allowance so I can see were that sentiment would have came from.
With the jump to $40 I could at least get like the escalation in quality argument from the 90s to the early 2010s and I would say I got 60 bucks worth of enjoyment out of BotW because I have over 100 hours in that but with stuff like PKMN Sc/Vi for the quality it came out with on launch day and from what I’ve heard of Cyber Punk: Edgerunners. You can not be charging that amount of money for games that are blatantly glitchy messes.
